TD5 rear bumper on a V8?

I have got a '97 P reg discovery 3.9 V8 which has got a TD5 rear light conversion.

Is it possible to simply replace the current bumper with a TD5 one to complete the look, or s there more work required. If more work is required has anyone done it and how difficult was it? Is the shape of the bumper correct as it appears and just needs some type of different mount?

Took a long time, but I finally got round to trying to fit a TD5 bumper again. The mounts are totally different and seem to need a lot of modification to make it fit...

...however, I have another idea. Once I had removed the end caps, as shown in the second pic I have attached, the TD5 bumper fitted pretty well. I seemed like the ends of the 300 series bumper would need chopping off to allow the TD5 light clusters to fit.

Has anyone else tried this or have any better ideas?
