I am about to change my rad as its leaking. I bought a replacement but it only has one small outlet at the bottom, not two. John Craddocks tell me that its fine, and that I should block off the fuel cooler feed pipe as the fuel cooler is not required. They say this is a Land Rover modification.

Is this right? any one ever heard of this before I do it?

Hi.
I had the same problem and was told to simply plug the fuel cooler hose.
Not too happy with that so I made an adpater out of copper pipe (using a T piece and an elbow with some short 30mm off cuts).
I joined the oil cooler and fuel cooler hoses together where they run side by side along the engine below the alternator.
I then connected them to the single radiator connection and have had no problems so far.
If you want me to take some pictures I'll do so after I get back from snowboarding mid march and mail them to you.

Further to this and now that I've sobered up I took a good look at the old rad and something strange is going on.

The pipe stub on the radiator that the fuel cooler hose went to is solid with no hole to the coolant tank ????? Dont know how I missed it thefirst time round. How the f*%! can it pass coolant? Simple answer is it cant. So plugging the hose on a later rad makes no difference. (Begs the question - what is the hose there for?

My mod flows coolant thru the fuel cooler where before it did not. Got me worried now. Any thoughts ???
