I knew it was too good to be true.....my new disco2 td5 has been a intermittently sluggish when pulling away or changing gear. Feels like the turbo's not boosting up all the time. There seems to be no pattern and makes no difference hot or cold but one minute it'll pull like a train then you change up a gear and its as flat as a pancake but if you keep you foot down eventually it will start to pull. It's becoming a pain as sometimes top speed is 30mph till turbo kicks in.

Any help would be appreciated .

Lots of things you can check. Couple of easy ones are, Turbo waste gate and Injector harness for oil. Do a search on here for "sluggish TD5" and you will get lots of info.

All fixed....all be it temporarily..

Bypassed the turbo solenoid and unplugged the maf and now goes like stink!!!

Found all this help on here so what a great forum thanks!

I've just had that problem aswell as poor starting. It turned out to simply be the timing was out. Took it to local Indy Landrover and checked and adjusted within the hour and now she's awesome :)

Well it's a fact the camshaft was not in the correct position. They showed me how it had rotated slightly out of alignment when looking through the front of the engine at the three crank bolt with one of the bolts removed the round hole was not centred with the elliptical hole. He said the peg in the marker in the bell housing was out.
