TD5 Power Folding Wing Mirrors

I have a TD5 Facelift GS which has electric heated mirrors but they are not power folding. I noticed that the switch on the dash does move in the correct direction to activate power folding mirrors but they are manual folding on the GS. Does anyone know if you can retro fit the power folding versions as I see from various pictures on the web that the motor must be in the mirror housing as all that comes out of the housing is the electrical wire. Has anyone tried this?

Can't help with the retro fit aspect but unless you really need the folding mirror function I wouldn't bother - mine gets confused every now and again and I end up with one mirror in and one out.

My 2000 GS has power folding mirrors fitted. I didn't even realise I had them fitted until I pushed the button down by accident

I think they're great. Very handy for squeezing past other vehicles on narrow roads. Mine have been very reliable as well.
