hey troops, long time no posts...:D...iv been trawling around as usual trying to find the answer to my 53 plate Td5 ES Discovery cold start issue...iv had it since i bought the car about 2 yrs ago and it doesnt do it in normal conditions...i turn the ignition on,wait till the pump speeds up(the glow plugs have switched off) then i turn the starter...it kicks into life but ticks over smoothly at 250/300 rpm, with no throttle response, for 5 or 6 seconds then bursts into life...there have been times when she's just cut out and its taken 3 or 4 attempts to get her to burst into life...:mil41:...iv put a new pump on,glow plugs, injector washers and seals, full service,de-egr'd her,de-cat'd her,PSI Superchipped her,new fuel regulator, new battery and re-set the injectors,AND SHE'S STILL DOIN IT!...:censored:...whats left to change and whats causing her to do this?...any ideas will be greatly appreciated and tried out...take it easy and look forward to hearing from you...Del.:5bcheers2:

1.Throttle position sensor,....2. crankshaft position sensor, if after u replace nr 1 is still doing it worth a try with nr. 2 .......no fault codes so far???

That's the way to do it, check fault codes first.....if it's something wrong with the CKT sensor then it must be some logged code though.

Come back and tell the fault codes if there are any....maybe we'll be smarter then.
