TD5 passenger door won't open

Hi Guys
My mates front passenger door won't open. Have taken the door card off, and all the leavers are connected and working.You can hear the solenoid working on both the key fob and button but pull the handles inside and out nothing happens. Anyone any idea's what's wrong and how to get it open, before I take a 9" angle grinder to the lock receiver.Any help most gratefully received

Think I had similar problem on drivers door after I replaced lock. Would lock and unlock manually, but when I used central locking I couldn't open the door. Got round it by pushing up the lug inside the door with a screw driver. Identifiable by the fact that it has a spring attached to it that runs vertically. Haven't got mine working properly yet and have spent at least four hours trying to figure it out. May just be an adjustment problem but will persevere. Hope this helps.
