Hi all, I changed the loom under the rocker recently and noticed that at the front (by the circle bit) there seemed rather a lot of oil which has built up. Any idea what's caused this or better still how to fix it.

Thanks
Al

Al,
Looks like you camshaft oil seal is knackered with oil coming out of there (that circle bit you describe)
I did mine today...very easy fix...done in 5 Mins....and about £10 for new seal.

Here's a link for replacing... www.discovery2.co.uk / Front Camshaft Oil Seal

It's deffinitely not coming from the Rocker cover gasket is it? Did you re-new the gasket when you did the loom?

Hi, I didn't change the rubber seal when I took it off as I cleaned it up and it looked in good nick, but there was oil leaking from the camsaft bit. I guess that's what needs changing. Cheers all.
