In an attempt to stop the oil leak I've got at my front crankshaft oil seal, I fitted a Speedi Sleeve shaft repair sleeve to my crankshaft pulley today.

If anyone else is suffering constant leaks from the front of the engine, maybe this will sort i for you.

It's too early to say if it's a long term fix, but installing one is dead easy, especially if you've got @Saint.V8 's homemade crankshaft pulley removal tool on hand. Probably a hour and half to do the lot, including re-newing the seal itself.

SKF 99192 is the part I used.

Also, after a longish test run, the oil seems to have stopped......for now.

If v8 Developments had polished the crank before fitting the replacement seal iwhen they rebuilt the engine earlier in the year it wouldn't have failed in under a 1000 miles in the first place. I'm still not impressed with that and wondering how long the rear one will last.

It's not the crank that's the problem, it's the pulley. Polishing wouldn't have removed the groove on the pulley. It always needed a new one, or sleeving. I suppose they might have offered to renew it or sleeve it for me, but the groove isn't that deep (you can't catch your thumbnail on it) so maybe they didn't think it needed it. 350 odd mile run to Devon and back this weekend at a steady 70 mph though and there's no signs of a leak.... Maybe I'm oil tight again, at least until the end of the summer.

Got one of those on the crank pulley of my 3.5 Classic for the same wear reason.
And on the input & output shafts of the steering box.
No problems so far - steering box done several years ago & the pulley just before covid.
Used them before on other stuff so no problems

ETA I can't remember the size of the speedisleeve I used on the crank pulley.
Occurred to me that my reply above might make people assume the one the OP used is the same .
