hey guys , td5 is running like a bag of nails . i was wondering if this had anything to do with the common oil in wirng harness fault . i jus needed to know how do u check if its il in the harness ? this is real handy as we are in the middle of haymaking and jus about to start combining and we need it to deliver wheat to pheasant shoots . if anyone cud help it wud be real good . ta

cheers mate . is there anything else that would make it run really ruff . its high mileage (168000) but its come on all of a sudden . straight after a service n all . but i have used castrol premeium 10w40 and genuine oil filters . its bloody gutless aswell .

Hi Bloat, this with your other post leads me to think something has come loose after that service. If it's running rough that means a problem with either the air intake system or fuel delivery. Did you change the fuel filter as well?

Hi could check harness for the injectors as suggested. I had an injector fail (comes on suddenly) ran rough when power on but the engine felt smooth when used as engine brake eg slowing down.I put a second hand injector in and had it calibrated no problems since also put in new improved harness that runs under the rocker cover. If you do put another injector in make sure you write the code no. down so that they can programme it properly. Also a quick diagnostic chek will tell if all injectors are ok.

yes , sorry havnt replied for a while , been combining finallly !! shes all well n good now turned out to be injector washers . so nice n cheap n easy to fix , thank god !! now back to farming !!!
