TD5 Not starting after changing injector seals

Don't know if it is any help,just done the head gasket on a td5 disco,replaced the fire washers and o rings,got a set from a land rover specialist for £6.00 put it back together ran for 5 mins and cut out wouldn't start,spoke to a mechanic he told me to go to land rover and get originalones(£50.00 inc the stretch bolts for the cam)and it started and runs like a dream.

Was this on the same TD5 that you had the injector problems recently or is this a different motor?

+1 on buying genuine seals! My orange colored ones from a LR place "specialist" failed after 14000 miles. The genuine LR ones are black/dark green.

The orange ones were very hard when I removed them, and hard O rings dont seal.

i'm for genuine too but IMO the o-rings would not affect starting too much, just that there will be fuel in oil, the copper washers are more important
