I had a new clutch fitted a week ago. The old one was quite possibly the original (90k miles). Before this I occasionally had the thrust bearing groan. New LOF clutch fitted last week and this morning when I was waiting to pull out of my road I heard the "groan" again. Is this normal ? Everything was replaced on the clutch.

I think the groan is usually the little sintered bronze pilot bush in the center of the flywheel, I bought one and soaked it in a jar of oil for weeks before I changed my clutch the groan disappeared when I fitted it.

As raywin says usually spigot bush groaning, costs about £2 but you’ve to strip it all down again

Is the groan there when you press the clutch with the engine stopped? If it is then it isn't the spigot bush, sometimes the pedal box can make a groaning noise when the pivot bearings are dry

spigot bush should be soaked in oil for a week or so as they are slightly porous i tend to have a few sat in a jar of oil on a shelf lol

Not that I've noticed no, but I've only noticed it once. The new clutch has only done 100 miles.
If its only done it once then I wouldn't worry about it for the time being, things may sort themselves out as all the new components bed in. Just give it a bit of time to see how things go.
