Disco 2 Td5 Misfiring at high revs

Glad I'm not alone on this one then (but I guess you're never alone with a Land Rover problem)

I'm in the Midlands mate, near Wolverhampton. I've got a Hawkeye code reader for disco 2 if it's any help.

Did you leave the ECU to drain overnight with plugs facing down?

Could be fuel delivery. I had intermittent stuttering at high revs until it died completely once. Was fuel pump but I had oil in red plug and dodgy battery at same time, frustrating time!

Fuel pump was changed earlier in the year for a genuine one so I'm going to rule that one out. Might well take you up on your offer of a diagnostic read though. I'll be in touch.

Managed to get around to trying to free up the waste gate yesterday evening. Took a while but after a little persuasion, and a lot of WD40, it was moving as it should so took it for a test drive and it would appear that that the misfire at high revs in 3rd and 4th had gone. Driven it into work this morning and still no misfire so (fingers crossed, touch wood, kiss a black cat, rub a chimney sweep over my body) I'm hoping I've solved my problem.

Thanks for all the input and advice, all truly appreciated and gratefully received.
