Had a TD5 hi cap using at work today I can't believe how much smoother and refined it is compared to my 200tdi defender and that 5 cylinder engine sounds lovely when revved up. If they didn't rust so fast and brake down so much I would think of having one:rolleyes:. Did they use a lot more sound proofing on TD5 or is it just the 200 is a muxh noisier engine ?

The Td5 is a smoother engine and more refined. There may have been more soundproofing in the one you drove, but both Tdi and Td5 models were available with and without.

At least the doors and wheels don't fall off when it rains, and you also aren't embarrassed to tell people you own one:D
There seems to be a lot of different freds in ere on windscreen wipers not working proper. Could this be due to the recent increase in rain over the last few days? Should we be advising tratterers to not get them wet? :pound:

:D

I've just been on the Freelander forum and it just seems to be 'which are the best curling tongs and hair straighteners' you lot don't go out in the rain cos it makes your perm go funny
