Hi guys. My Disco is sluggish from set off. Tried to find a solution for a long time. I've got some live data stored. Could anyone have a look and help? Also the car at around 3000-4000rpm acts like cutting off and starts jumping instead of pulling stable. Don't know if it's connected with MAF being over 630 and getting out of range or something else? Cheers for any advice.

Not much to see as you didnt exceed 5mph in that log nor pushed hard the throttle... that kangarooing at high revs is the MAF cut-out symptom which can be relaated tio the lack of power if there's a boost leak pre- inlet somewhere but for that a data log under heavy load is needed

There are 3 bottom tabs, first one is just the set off, second is driving and third for set off on the hill. Just have a look on the bottom left of excel file.

AAha, i missed that, yes the one named "drive" is relevant as it shows the MAF cut out from pos 32 also it seems that there's a boost leak somewhere cos at around 600 real air flow there should be max boost around 1.3 while max boost i've seen is 1.1 when the air flow exceeded 650 which means that the turbo is spinning fast at that sucction but it doesnt deliver pressure accordingly or if it does there is a leak somewhere... you should check the turbo blades to not be worn

Where should I look for the leak? Before or after turbo?
What about the MAF itself? Should I replace it? As the major problem I can see in 800-1700rpm, car doesn't want to set off properly from traffic lights etc, it's slow as turtle. When turbo is on it pulls really good.

Leak can be through the wastegate or between the turbo and inlet manifold, you can try to shorten the wastegate rod as to let 10 threads out from the locknut.... EGR is bypassed?

Unplug maf sensor have a drive and report back
That would certainly fix the kangarooig cos there will be no more MAF cut-out but might not improve the low end power
No, egr is still there, the engine is totally stock.
then take a look into the valve and if it's full of muck clean it and definitely remove and clean the MAP sensor too(concentrate on the small hole pointed with red arrow co tere's the pressure sensor, the protuberance is for IAT) cos it might be reading low due to deposits from the EGR and then the management is trying o compensate so the sucction increases while the boost reading doesnt reach the expected level hence the cut out too, aafter you cleaned things there unplug the electric plugs on the EGR solenoids and take a ride like that

use dedicated spray for EGR and MAP (https://www.halfords.com/motoring/e...dditives/wynns-diesel-egr-valve-cleaner-150ml)

I had similar issue in the past (no power under 2000rpm). All data seemed to be correct, everithing was checked and cleaned and finally I had changed my cheap MAF to a genuine one. The car is better now.
If you have a cheap aftermarket MAF and all other things mentioned above have checked, invest in a genuine one.

Yes Siemens is the original one, but hard to tell if your is genuine or OEM. As I know VDO/Siemens can be bought as an OEM part for about 70pounds and if it comes in LR box the price is double.
I have also a VDO one what I have removed, I will check what exactly written on it.

Do you think there is any difference between Siemens for LR genuine and Siemens OEM? I just think they are making money on a piece of logo.
