td5 intermitant powerloss

hi all , new to the zone used to have a 300 disco , now have an01 td5 110, ahve noticed whilst driving at high revs accelerating usually up hill an intermitant power loss which disappears on changing up put appears again just befor the next gear change, no other snags pulls well just this niggling blip, anybody got any ideas please
 
injector pinacle washers mate !!! ( the copper ones ) mostly shows up as lost power under load ie going up hills in early stages of failure!! cheap easy fix just time consuming!! :)
 
hi we have the same problem, and with a twin axle 26 feet caravan behind it was not great fun, we have also just read that some body had this problem and it was the mass air sensor. these look to be £130.00 plus. Would be great to know you outcome, because we do no mechanic's at all and she will have to go in the garage.

you can test the air flow meter by unplugging it, if the car runs ok unplugged then you need a new one, fault on air flow meter should show on diagnostic check
 
hi all took off heat shield, lashed on wd40, wiggled with pipe grips which freed up mechanism, took for run , problem solved will keep an eye on it for reseizeing , cheers james, thanks for yor advice all.
