Hello,
hope someone can help. I am new to "modern" LR engines. I have Td5 Disko with problem in fuel system.
When I get car Fuel Pressure Regulator already leaked, just some not very smart mechanic used self made paper gasket instead of correct one. To be sure I replaced FPR, replaced o-ring and fitted correct gasket. At the beginning all was OK, few days after - fuel started to leak form bolts fixing FPR. I tightened them, all was ok, then, few days later, started to leak hose attached to FPR, after some considerations I changed hose from old FPR, leak stopped. Now, few weeks after started to leak FPR, leaking from valve or what it is.
So, Now I tray to understand where the problem is, just faulty FPR, or some problem witch results in too big fuel pressure?
Fuel pump in the back of the car are working continuously. It does not switch off, I guess it is not normal? I just don`t have any other disko around to compare pump "sound" effects
