td5 engine warning light

i just brought a defender county 90td5 had it two days and the engine warning light coming on does any body know what could cause this

It could be any number of things. Are you experiencing any loss of power?

The first thing I would do is to try draining the fuel filter. It could be that you have water in the trap at the base of the filter.

Ideally you want it plugged into a diagnostic computer to read and clear any fault codes.
