I run my 200TDi on bio diesel, I tried bio in a TD5 but it ruined an injector, I didn't want to risk anymore damage so I sold it.
Now got the chance of a TD5 auto with a knackered engine, what are the chances of fitting a 200 or 300 engine in it?? Will it be at all compatible?
Thanks, Tim.

NOT AT ALL!!!!

1. The TD5 autobox ECU is in constant communication with the TD5 engine ECU. No TD engine, no comms to the autobox, you're done!!

2. Numerous functions on the car operate via various other ecu's such as the BCU which needs to talk to the engine ECU - No TD5 engine, no talky.

To be honest the list just goes on and on.

If you are dead set on running on bio deisel, you would probably be best off getting another TDi 200 or 300.

A chap called Martin who farms the land around me bought a blown D2 V8 and put a 200 Tdi in it. He has a couple warning lights on the dash, but other than that he said it works fine !.

He,s on here occasionally but I cant remember his user name.

DEl.
