Td5 disco no pull from turbo

Hi guys.
Ive an 04 disco td5. When i first start up and drive, i have no pull from my turbo whatsoever! Then after maybe half mile of driving, it pulls perfect.

Initially thought it was when it was cold, but it also happens after sitting still at lights for a while.

Just had full service checked the spool on the turbo and it spins fine and no play either. Any ideas? Cheers
 
Does it feel any better with MAF unplugged? Also try cleaning the MAP sensor in the inlet manifold they can get gunked up. And check for oil in ecu red plug thats where id start
 
Sorry for the late reply...thanks guys, it was the MAF, havent been paid yet, so ive left it unplugged for now and it drives perfect...any reason as to not use a cheaper brand?

The cheaper ones use a slightly different tech which tends to fail in a couple of weeks. Sometimes like Lightning the will last, others you'll end up buying another one which is £60, not far of the price of a proper one.

If you trawl through ebay you can occasionally find brand new Genuine ones for £50
