TD5 Diesel pressure regulator!

Hi

Well after 6 months of "bliss" with my first Land Rover that did'nt leak anything "ANYTHING" the diesel regulator has started leaking derv!

My questions are, 1: why? 2: Is there a repair kit? 3:Are the ones that paddocks sell at £75 + vat crap? 4:Are we going to have a "White Christmas"????

I am currently in the process of doing mine, started it today at about 1pm...what a F***** B****** of a job! it's erm...a fiddley crappy job to say the least. Got to finish it tomorrow....he says!

1) I'm not sure (But remember landrover built it ) but i'm sure somebody will shed some light...

2)No repair kit....buy a new one and dont forget gasket and '0' ring.

3) Unsure about paddocks ones, but keep your eyes on ebay just got one for £80 delivered.

4) I really do hope so!!

Oh...and make sure you have lots of beer (or vodka if you like something a little stronger) Chilled for when the jobs done, You will need it!

Already got it but it's a great site all the same.

More concerned about getting a good un, especialy if it's a bastid to fit!

Have found the gasket on a few sites but not the O-Ring? Land Rover?

LR do both, '0' Ring only 19p, gasket £1.41!

Received fuel regulator this morning from Paddys, well chuffed it's a genuine Land Rover part, dunt come with O ring so I'm off to Local LR garage this aft to get one.
