TD5 Defender drivers door stuck shut!!

Hi all,

I can’t seem to open my drivers side door from the inside or out. There is central locking in the car.

hoping someone else has come across a similar issue and wouldn’t mind giving me some tips please. I’ve got the door card off and am trying all sorts of ways to unlock it but having no joy.

Can you hear the CL unit clicking in the door? If so likely the last link to the lever on the latch has disconnected.

Interesting, thank you! I’ll see if the Haynes manual or landyworkshop has a diagram of the mechanism.
