I have a 2003 TD5 which I bought a week ago. I drove it home which is a 1 hour drive mainly motorway.
On the drive home we had no problems in fact it seemed to drive very well.
It has a noisy fuel pump.

I took it for a drive last night for about 15-20 mins and pulled over to turn round and it cut out and wouldn't start, I think it is fuel related.
After about 5 mins it started and I managed to get it home but the same thing when parking up and again 5 mins later it would start.
It starts on the button from cold.
Any help would be appreciated.

Stopping when hot could point to a failing rank position sensor.

Mine stopped running on the Mway, restarted after 10 minutes, then stopped after 5 Miles, continued like this, I changed the CPS and it started and has run OK ever since.

Cheers

I have had the same problem, had the injector seals changed twice a new fuel pump and fuel pressure valve fixed the problem but now no power totally gutless
