I am missing the acoustic cover assembly from the rear of the cam box on my TD5.
Land Rover did see fit to include an acoustic cover when building the vehicle so I assume it makes a difference to the noise entering the passenger cabin when it is fitted.
Has anyone experience of running with and without the cover to say if it is worth the £50.00 asking price.

Thank you James for the reply I am not at all concerned at it missing more if there is a notable difference to be gained by fitting one, I believe you have answered this by saying "no one seems to notice".
Thank you for saying that you have one available but if nothing/very little to be gained I will not bother to fit one.

Your ps conjured up an image for me that you have a secrete stash of missing covers ready to flood the market when demand was high (how sad am I?) :(

I think the difficulty is that you've got to take it off to do almost anything on the engine, so after while people don't bother putting them back. Plus the bolts get lost. There's a bolt, a washer and a kind of rubber grommet that goes in a hole in the plastic, so loads of things to lose. I keep mine on because I'm trying to keep my machine looking fairly stock and standard. The difference it makes to passenger cabin noise is negligible.
