I have a sticky clutch pedal and searching for an answer found this.has anyone done this spring upgrade reading on another forum its supposed to make clutch lighter, everyone thats done it says it the dogs.

Read about the mod, decided to go for it for the benefit of the wife and I despite the fact I have massive cyclist's quads, anything for an easy life! After reading the mag instructions here: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ItemFil...ritpart.com_lro-workshop_how-to_defender_.pdf I decided to follow this blog post as there was no bonnet removal etc. involved: https://thegippo.wordpress.com/2014/10/18/td5-clutch-pedal-mod/

Anyway, this is NOT as difficult as expressed and I found that with a pair of needle nosed pliers it was relatively easy to fit the spring into it's twin housings. Fit the plastic bushes and u shaped pedal clip then definitely attach the u- shaped of the spring part to the pedal first, depress the pedal with a bit of wood against the seat or seat box and the two spring ends in with the right pliers. Less than half an hour fit, bob's your uncle! Very nice to drive now, especially in traffic etc.

Next job is to do the throttle mod, don't really think it's as necessary but may as well.
