TD5 - Checking door locking electrics - Poss linked to alarm activating?

Got a few electrical gremlins, and need your guidance...

When I press the drivers side door push button the central locking activates and locks all of the doors, usually when I have the keys inside!! This can happen with our without the engine running - and I can only then unlock with the keyfob.

Where do i start with fault-finding this?

Also having the alarm activate after an hour or two of locking - this meaning I've had to leave unlocked at times. Feels related but I guess if i can pinpoint the door problem I'm not chasing too many things at once....

The only time I have had a problem with alarm it was the under bonnet switch on the bulkhead near the clutch master cylinder, it just required straightening up so it made contact with the bonnet when closed.

ignore my comment about the internal handle also locking it, I imagined that.
