td5 cam belt or chain

hi is my td5 discovery a cam belt or cam chain?
why is my auto gear box overheating well the light comes on the dash to tell me its hot?

TD5 has chain driven camshaft. As for the other thing dunno.

Check the auto box oil level VERY SOON - like before you go anywhere.

Then make sure the gearbox oil cooler isn't choked with mud.
