TD5 Boost Control

A few eeks ago I developed a problem where over 2500RPM my TD5 would kangaroo. There seems to have been quite a few people on this forum with similar problems with a multitude af causes. I tried alot of mucking about I finally tried one last thing before I got it put on a computor which was to bypass the pressure modulator from the charge side of the turbo to the wastegate actuator. All seems fine so will fit the new modulator sometime. Any body try this before and will it cause any problems in the meantime ?

Hi, i have recently had this problem with my Disco 2000 td5 and have done the same, this was about two weeks ago and still waiting for the pressure mdulator. My mechanic says that the defender td5 models do not have the pressure modulator anyway and are piped up the same as what we have done. So should cause no problem

I fitted the pressure modulator last week and all is fine.
