TD5 Auto screech and buzz buzz.

Hi All,

Just serviced my 03 td5 auto and if left parked or still for an hour when you drive there is sometimes a screech from the auto box? once its done it once it is fine for the rest of a journey - any ideas?

The other one is a resonance through the vehicle at around 1800 rpm (buzz buzz). It may be the side stebs vibing or something else - any ideas?

what did you do as part of the service? did you change the box oil?

Yes box oil drained and changed, filter replaced etc. Do you think enough oil went back in? I seem to have more left than I thought I would.

box will take about 4.5ltr as part of a change. have a look at www.discovery2.co.uk / Automatic Gearbox Oil and Filter Change which explains the process. is this how you did it?

It was a warped exhaust manifold after all. To many beans for too long!

Have had my manifold re ground flat and no sreech. You beauty.
