Hello. The air suspension is not working on my disco. The sensor arm on the passenger side snapped allowing air bag to fully inflate on that side. I set sensor into a lower postion to get back end down. Both sides have now fully deflated and will not go back up. The compressor is not starting. Dash warning light is permanently on. Ive jacked up back end but this didnt do anything. Has anybody got any ideas before i start replacing parts. Thanks

Hi, it's possible that when the sensor snapped the compressor exceeded it's duy cycle and in that case it will not start again untill the fault code is cleared, did you unplug the sensor's connector with battery connected? You need to plug in a diagnostic tool anyway to see the code which keeps the warning on

Hello. No didnt unplug the sensor. I reatached sensor arm temporarily. I was tbinking off putting 12 v straight to pump to see if it still works and to lift back end up. Thanks

It will not lift anything by putting 12V to the pump as the valves are closed, eventually you kill it... you have to give 12V to the pump and the two air supply valves at the same time to lift the back

Ok thanks. Is it possible to supply power to pump and valves?
Depends on your skills, you have to unplug them and improvise with wires... you can inflate one side at a time if you feed one valve and compressor at the same time, or get this kind of valves https://www.ebay.com/itm/282534767304 attached to 15-20cm of 4mm pipe and pushed into the bag's fitting ... these are good as backup all the time, you can pump emergency tyre repair fluid through them in the bag if it has a leak

Hello. Thanks. I will trace wiring and try and inflate bags one side at a time. Do you know which wires operate valves to open? Having got a wiring at the moment. I will also get a couple of the valves you have have sugested. Cheers

I dont understand what you are asking, i said you have to unplug the valves and compressor and give 12V to them with wires to the pins so you have to make your own wires as to be able to feed them at the same time if you see what i mean

Thanks for the quick reply. Ive looked at diagram and i can see what i need to put power to. I will make up the wires required. Just woke up from nights and not quite with it when i posted. Thanks for your help.

Hello. Wired up the air suspension and valves as diagram supplied by sierraferry. Got compressor and valves worked. Got both sides i flated. Started engine and disco levelled its self up. Stopped and started engine air bags stopped at the same height. Went for a short test drive. All ok. Stopped engine and passenger side went down slightly. Started and stopped engine. Passenger side went down even more. Button on dash not doing anything. Does this suggest that sensor on passenger side requires replacement? Thanks

Inflate the bags to be on level and let the valves and compressor unplugged ... if there's no leak it will stay on level for weeks and the sensor is suspect, if it drops that way the bag or the valve on that side is leaking.

Hello.left bags inflated with sensors unpluged as sugested. Bags stayed inflated. Got around to fitting new sensor today. There is 50mm differance between heights on each side. Is there any way to get the suspension level? Thanks

Hello. It was the compressor that was unpluged the sensors were left connected. When new sensor was fitted the battery was disconected.. Leveled car up on jacks but when inflated thereis a 50 mm differance. Is there any way to level up without having it recalibrated? Thanks

No way to calibrate without tester unless you are handy enough to modify the sensor as to replace it's arm with one that you can adjust it's lenght if you see what i mean.
