Ok, background to this problem. Replaced front O/S disc, badly scored. As ever to get this off, had to remove brake calipers. Of course the bolts were rounded and had to hammer on an undersized socket to get them out. In order to do this had to undo top swivel pin bracket to get caliper out of the way. This disturbed the swivel ball oil seal which now started leaking. Have now installed new swivel pin kit, bearings and oil seals etc. (not the swivel ball as it was a teflon coated one already and in good nick) All done as per paddocks U tube video. Thought it was going too well!
Was not happy with the seating of the ABS sensor, did not seem to go fully home. As for driving, getting no AC output from that sensor although the same DC loop resistance as the others. Have now twice noticed the sensor seems to have popped up some 10-15mm after a drive. Have tried replicating this while turning the hub while on full lock either way but it remains in situ. Looking down the abs sensor hole, although difficult to be sure with all the one-shot grease surrounding the exciter ring, don't think the full width of the exciter ring is visible at the bottom of the sensor. There is also some slight indentations to the bottom of the ABS sensor but I put this down to a knackered top bearing which I found when I did the swivel kit overhaul. Any suggestions out there?:confused:
