td5 90 fuel guage

Been off roading all day sunday everything fine till i noticed fuel guage has gone to full and i know i only have half a tank it stays at full till you turn the ignition off how do i fix this one any advise gratefully recieved.

Sounds like the float arm has got stuck in the up position. I'd try driving up and down a few kerbs to try shake it loose. Other than that its a pump out jobby to see whats wrong.

cheers shifty pumps only a couple of years old shouldnt be that hopefully i am hopeing its a chaffed wire & gone to earth booked into a sparkys tommorow so i will soon see
