td4 very slow warm up

help, my td4 takes ages to warm up, the fbh is working ,because the engine sound like a jet, but its on all the time, i have looked at the fan and it is working even though the engine is cold , is this right ? it seems to be cooling when the engines cold , any ideas thanks

maybe ? .. it's thermostat related

Ive got a very slimmer problem, my Freelander went in for a number of thing including a new thermostate, but no change. the guage sits just above the cold position, and blows warm air even whislt sat at 70 on the motorway, the guage will rise upto the 90 degree postion once idleing then drop back when the car is moving. I'm looking to put the carback in the garege to have the 2 coolent sensor (1 in the engine block and the other in the radiator).
