My 2002 TD4 Freelander's Steptronic gear selector has stopped working. The auto box is still working fine but when i push the stick over to the right the 'S' indicator is not showing on the dash and i am unable to manualy select gears. Has anyone else come across this problem?
Maybe a switch has broken in the gear select lever? I think the gears are selected electronically are they not? If a switch is broken on the gear select lever the gearbox won't know you're in steptronic mode. Onlya thought mind you!
