Hi,

Is anyone local to North Yorkshire who would be willing to teach me how to do a service on my Freelander, ive never been useful under the bonnet and would love to learn.

ta.

I think everything you'd need to know can be found on here (might require a bit of searching around). If you're not all that confident having done your research it's probably something you should avoid. In general service items are not all that difficult but things link removing the underbelly panel, the oil filter and fuel filter can be quite tricky if you've no idea what you're doing.

Yeah I know what you mean, ive read the Haynes manual and I think some of the easy things like air filter and pollen filter could be done by myself but the fuel filter looks above me and the oil filter, will see if anyone on this site throws me a line and if not i will take it to a local specialist and ask to work with them during the service, problem being it will need a big one due to the length of time its not been touched.
