Hi.
I drive a 2003 TD4. Hade it for two years now, and I still haven't seen a shiver of light from the preheat indicator in the dash.
Now I know it ain't supposed to preheat over 5C, but I do liv ein Norway and she has had way lower than that.
I do fear that the LED is defect, haven't gotten around to dig into that.
Does anyone know what type of LED it is and where I can source one?

From memory, the dash indicator LEDs are surface mount LEDs. It's possible to change them, if you are solder SM components.
It's more likely to be some other parts of the circuit. Test for power at the glow plugs before delving into the dash ;)

I did forget.
There is 12V going to the plugs, as well the 12V going from the relay to the EMS.
Now I am trying to find the thread from the EMS to the display cluster.
Pulling the cluster apart to measure if there is power to the LED ain't that difficult.
