at my wits end.td4 hard to start in the morning once started all ok.i have replaced.new glow plugs.recon injectors.still not fixed.has anyone had same problem.or advise:doh:

So. No underbonnet LP pump on that year.

There is some debate as to whether that year has an in-tank pump AND a LP pump behind the OSR wheel arch, or just the LP pump behind the OSR wheel arch.

Either way, it could be that your LP pump is on the way out.

The other possibility is the cam sensor, although this tends to show as faulty more on hot starts, but isn't unknown for cold starts either.

You say you have refurbed injectors - still worth doing a leak test to eliminate them.

quick rule of thumb Ming test for lp pump. . . . .put hand on lp pump [get an assistant to switch on ignition position [yes i know its a doozle :D] and shout ignition on] should vibrate for aprox 15-20secs then stop, if so then this is good ,. . . . . . . . but if A= no vibrate or B= keeps running then check fuel pump relay and or fuel pump fuse. if these are good could be the pump or filter blocked . . . . . . simples :) :) :)

thanks for replies just bought gen landrover fuel pump and filter of ebay for a good price will give it a go at changing both with my haynes manual next weekend.
