TD4 Oil in air intake??

My 04 freelander TD4 (52k) has a suspicious amount of oil residue inside the top air intake pipe

I suspect this could be an indication that the turbo seals are on the way out - anyone have any thoughts please?

This is quite normal for a td4.To help matters you could disconnect the egr vave by pulling of the small pipe which connects to it and blanking it off with a screw.

Has the depression valve filter been replaced on these 52k's ???
