Unlikely to be the glow plugs if it's only difficult to start when warm.
There are several causes to this problem.
Rail sensor is a common one. Look for corrosion on the contacts.
The high pressure regulator could also be the cause when it's O rings degrade.
The cam sensor has been known to fail when hot too.
Ideally you need to see if any codes are logged.

Thanks Nodge68 i will have a look at them things i didnt change cam sensor i will get one and try
many thanks keith

Hi nodge68.
Got a error code 1612 coming up with ML lamp is on. any sergetions please

That's not an LR code, at least not a standard one.

Is it running? Have you cleared the code to see if it returns?

If it comes up again then you'll need to find a garage who has T4.

I had exactly the same issue. Turned out it was an injector, it was leaking that badly when warm the rail struggled to get up to pressure meaning the car took an age to start. Do a leak off test to confirm one or more bad injectors.

Thanks for that info I will look into that this morning .
I have another issue I had a leak on one of the water pipes that go to the Idris box and it got that bad I disconnected the pipes and blanked them of . I noticed when ordering a part online yesterday that there is a rid repair kit cooler bearing and seals that you can replace do you think that after the jeep gets worm would this be a problem
Many thanks Keith

The IRD cooler isn't really used in the UK, unless lots of off road driving is done. Use fully synthetic 75w90 oil in it though.

Oh it's a Land Rover, not a Jeep. ;)

Hi Nodge68
Checked a few things on Land Rover freelander today and found that the first injector was showing a deisel discharge so I nipped it up with a 8mm socket. Do you think that could be a bit of the problem with it not starting properly after getting worm

I wouldn't have thought it would affect the starting, unless the rail is emptying.

Just a generic injector puller that's suitabe for Bosch injectors will be fine.
