Just got a cheap 2001 td4 runs great till it warms up then starts missing and stalls when you stop changed under bonnet fuel pump but still no change it's got 164000 on the clock could it be the main fuel pump any help woul be appreciated

try disconnecting the MAF sensor .. see if that makes a difference
if it runs better like that .. then it's time to change the maf ..

I had a problem where the combustion gases were blowing past the copper washer, it was a weird fault as it gave an injector type rough running but if u switched it off and on again it was fine, what was happening was all the **** that had blown up was nippping the injector, took ages to clean the bore out!

The injectors absolutely must have the seats recut before new ones fitting other wise this blowby will always happen. The proper tool is dead cheap. Been saying this so often now, I think I should stock them in my ebay shop!!! :D

Just cost £950 at the garage had new fuel pumps and lines ran ok for 2 weeks then started again I'm well ****ed off any ideas

Take it back and get them to Fix it, doesn't sound like a repair if it failed in 2 weeks

They are trying to be funny about it they had it 3 weeks can I get my money back as if I take it back there they will rip me off again
