Freelander 1 Td4 Jatco 3rd to 4th Flaring, Slip- Solved

Could check the piston against my photos to check it is the modified one.
Mind you don't damage the very thin seal rings. Only fingers to extract it!!! If feels stuck but it is oil sticktion.
 
I was going to to the brakes on the Freelander today but it's too damn hot so I grabbed the donor drum instead and finished stripping it to see what I have. Took some work to get the piston out as you said but I got there in the end, and I'm very pleased to say that this piston is the later part.

Despite the minimal wear on the rings, there was a fair amount of junk in the drum so I flushed it all out. All back together now and ready to swap in to my gearbox. Thanks again for the assistance.
