While I see if the RAVE manual has the bulb spec... have you tried fuse 16 in the "inside" fuse board??
Fuse 16 (C0582) provides a feed to the following on RO wires:
The cruise control master switch (C0749).
The hazard warning switch (C0096).
The Heated Rear Window (HRW) switch (C0072).
The front LH window switch (C0321).
The front RH window switch (C0242).
The Hill Descent Control (HDC) switch (C0878).
The tail door window switch (C0354).
The Central Door Locking (CDL) switch (C0328).
The LH seat switch (C0249).
The RH seat switch (C0250).
The LH rear window switch (C0264) (5 door vehicles only).
The RH rear window switch (C0263) (5 door vehicles only).
The sunroof switch (C0363).
The cigar lighter (C0074).
The radio/cassette player (C0098).
The radio/cassette player (C0921) (NAS vehicles only).
The heater controls (C0051).
The air conditioning (a/c) switch pack (C0275).
The fresh/recirculated air switch (C0750).
The Heated Front Screen (HFS) switch (C0131).

This should help - hopefully:-

although.... looking on fleabay; the rangies and landys have a mix of bulbs.... the RAVE manual doesn't go into detail I'm afraid.
although...
They may even be the same as the Vaux Corsa and you can by three of them for less than £4.00 on fleabay

(i haven't taken them out of Dads yet, so I can't add any info based on doing the job i'm afraid)

cheers for reply
i checked fuses and all ok
when i bought the td4 few years ago, only left control knob lightup , other 2 didn't, now all 3 are gone, all controls work as far as function but don't light up
wondering if there is a bulb in each i have to change and how do i do, do i have to remove the knob or is it inside the unit its self, looked at haynes manual and doesn't say

I don't think it looks all too difficult - I will upload the desctructions for you to read - but my advice is.... download the RAVE manual - it's free.

its a pity i have remove central console
i had to do this to fit bluetooth radio , thought it be easier just to pull off knobs
looks like pull out console, then i need to see if i pull off knobs to take off plate to get to wedge bulbs , have to do them as will fail mot here

cheers
is there a link for rave manual
be better than haynes
i found this link
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/freelander-facelift-heating-control-lighting.155771/
Actually - this link is a very good one.... it appears that you don't have to take out the rear console.....
I guess you can "wriggle" it around enough to get to the bulbs.

I guess I will be using this link to change the bulbs on Dads Freelander as some stage. (you need to read my posts for why "Dads Freelander" :'(

cheers, i give read to dads freelander,
have to pull console away from dash , think take out radio ,
then pull off i think the 3 knobs to get to white plate to get to wedge bulbs , think i get in motor factors cheaper than halfords the wedge 1.2 v bulbs

well... they look like the corsa ones to me... 5mm (T5) and on ebay - less than 4 quid for a set of three. - unless the motor factors do them cheaper at £1 or less per bulb.
