TD4 Fuel Pump

Help needed with my in tank fuel pump for a 01 TD4. Pump is a non goer and I have just been quoted $1100 AUD for a new one. I have pulled the pump appart and it is a VDO unit with the part numbers K293 00 124a.
Does anyone know if this part is availabe or do you have to buy a complete assembly?
