Td4 Fuel Consumption - What to Expect

Those measurements were on a long run filled her up in bristol as they say too the click drove her to amsterdam via brusells back to bristol filled her up again divided the milage by re fuel reciepts litreage multiplied that by 4.5 (4.5 ltrs per gal) an thats the figure to the dot 43 mpg over 2 1/2-3 tank fulls. aint quite rocket science, went for mot an the bloke testin it on smoke test asked if it were runnin. its done 129,000 miles now, full service every 6,000 miles, purrs like a kitten and sniffs fuel. ps trip was 70ish all the way 2500rpm on cruise control much of the time. never checked it round town but its pretty good unless you boot it everywhere hope this shines the light for the doubters. I recon yer all leadfoots...:D
 
:) Well for the reckord i get bout 35-38 mpg but on a motorway on cruise and 70 mpg + get 40 - 41 mpg and an auto ,so i dont doubt those figures at all. . . :)
 
Driving in town is different ,i'm not obsesed with m p g but reckon its about 29 - 32 uburn is around 34 -36 but motorways is the best at around 70mph 37-40 and i reckon on a 4x4 thats brill, thats a td4 auto chipped [20% asdas cheapest] . . .:D

Flash told me he was some kind of jumped up egg sucking gutter trash :eek:
Oh how we laughed. I said "Flash, if you had a Hippo he'd love you and the World could live in peace". He's now looking at buying a 1998 model 1.8 litre petrol softback to live in peace. Can't see it some how :rolleyes:

If that flash git bought a lr i would blow them all up and buy a rav4 wiv real curlin tong mod. . .:mad:
