TD4 engine management light

Just had problem with loss of power,black smoke at about 2-3000revs and the engine management light staying on. Followed all the steps in the link on here regarding boost solenoid and turbo hoses split. All these were fine. Checked around the intercooler hoses and found the short 90 degree hose from the EGR unit split. New one bought and just fitted,management light has gone off and no serious smoke when revved. Still got to test drive it though. Freelander is an 04 td4 auto.
