Putting my FBH on a remote has been excellent, nice toasty car when I get in in the morning.

When the time comes for me and the Freelander to part, the FBH is coming with me.

So can they be retro fitted? My '06 HSE doesn't have it as it was made a option which wasn't specified when the car was bought.

Yes. I found lots of info on how to do it and it's not that hard apparently. It will be done after I get a heated windscreen...

What do I need to fit a remote?
Is there a step by step guide I can download?
Would very much like a remote, its very cold and windy down by the sea in winter!!!!

We're off-topic here (sorry OP), but it's quite straightforward. In a nutshell you buy a 12v remote module (Maplin do a model with built in timer) which you wire to Pin 3 (I think, you need to check) to receive a live feed when the remote relay closes.

Search for FBH and remote for many threads.
