Td4 CDL Lock

Hi!

I have changed the central lock mechanism of the front drivers door, it worked for a while and now the whole CDL system doesn't work. I could only hear the relay tick when you press the CDL switch but the locks don't engage even with the alarm remote though the alarm works.

Check the mechanism you have just changed, if it doesn't move far enough to lock the door because it has move or is obstructed, it will jump back and none of your doors will be locked.

Its been 7 months and yet the cdl lock problem is still the same. Here are my observations:

1. Alarm engages/disengages through remote and door handle key barrel but locks don't engage
2. Relay works (tick sound) whenever I press the interior cdl switch located at the center console but locks don't engage
3. When I unlock/lock the circuit via the interior cdl switch, the tailgate window goes down (unlock) and vice versa but the lock doesn't open so it means the cdl works except it doesn't send signal to all lock mechanisms
4. I checked all locks manually by jumping the wires from a straight battery source and all works. There is no power from the lock circuit. All fuses are ok.

My problem is where to and how to find the relay/switch that sends signal to all door locks to work. Its really a hassle to open the tailgate....hope someone can help me.

The problem is very likely inside the CCU which is fitted behind the passenger compartment fusebox. Darmain the the man who should understand its internal goings on in relation the central locking. Check out his thread....http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/central-locking-issue-96388.html
