14.6 psi - 30 psi 'manifold absolute pressure' (m.a.p.)
1.0 bar - 2.06 bar 'manifold absolute pressure'
i.e. m.a.p. starts with standard atmosphere .. sea level ..
(
Atmospheric pressure - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )
'boost' adds to 'atmosphere' and uses '0' for atmospheric pressure .. i.e. no boost ..
0 psi - 15.4 psi 'boost pressure'
0 bar - 1.06 bar 'boost pressure'
the higher reading is aprox.
( and i've a ron-box fitted set to 'max' )
there is a limit that the ecu will allow before cutting back the fuel to prevent damage
i don't know exactly what that limit is ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
that's 7.2 psi ..
for m.a.p. that would translate to 21.8 psi ..
mine runs 17/18 psi m.a.p. on the flat at about 60 mph ..
( that would be 0.16 / 0.23 bar 'boost' )
*uphill .. full go pedal .. i've seen 30 psi m.a.p. ..
( think once i saw 32 psi m.a.p. .. but maybe not ..
( it's rare that i see 3500 rpm or more .. 'n in addition .. and be looking at the boost levels while doing so
as i've a ron-box fitted ..
maybe a standard td4 setup gets a lower boost ?
if i get around to steaming uphill for a mile with the ron-box turned off .. i'll post the boost result
though .. would have thought it be a bit more than 21.8 psi m.a.p. .. then again maybe not ? ..
