Good morning from cyprus. this the first time i am posting to the forum.
My mechanic change once the crank shaft pulley and after 50 miles the belts gone and pulley bolt was loose . I took the car back to his garage with new belts, and yesterday he call that i can go to get my car.I started the car and was working ok for a a few minutes, but when i pushed the engine to 2000RPM ,a smell of burning rubber and smoke came out of the front right wheel the pulley is located, so i left it again for him to find out what is wrong. Any suggestions ?

Maybe there's a bit of the old belt stuck in somewhere or the new pulley damper was damaged in the 50 miles where it was 'rattling'.

A mechanic can make mistakes - but not tightening the crank pulley is pretty unforgivable. To then make a second mistake is very unforgivable - time to change mechanics. This is likely to damage your crank shaft, the TD4's are prone to it.
