TD 4 engine management Light, Easy way to turn this off ??

Hi, is there a cheap and easy way to turn off the engine management Light on my T D 4 . I've replaced the in tank fuel pump which was faulty, but is going to cost me another £40 to have light turned off at a local independent Land Rover dealer, I don't mind buying some software for use with my laptop as I'm sure I will need it again,,

Hi i have the same problem with my dads td4 same as you replaced the in tank fuel pump car runs perfect again but the light will not go out, had it to dealers they put it on the computer which confirmed in tank fuel pump put the light out and as soon as the car was restarted the light came back on :doh: so we are £ 40 quid down and still light on ! they said it could be a fault with the ecu and really the light should go out as soon as the problem that lit it has been rectified in this case the fuel lift pump i even changed the under bonnet fuel pump just in case it was connected to that car runs fine so leaving well alone till some one comes up with a cheaper option than new ecu

U480 memo scanner. Cost £35 off ebay 2 year ago works on fords, citroens,nissans and landrovers. Mite work on others but thats all ive tried it on.
