Yes change is quiet easy, weight balance is weird so be prepared for it to twist as you pull it off the gearbox, check out what intput gear you have and if you can upgrade to a cross drilled type.

Standard defender one is 1.4, disco is 1.2.

Look near the filler hole/bung. Newer models are pin dot numbers on the lower left.
Also look for a little sticker near there for the ratio.
